Destiny

This was an order for a friend today at work and I'm really happy with the way it came out.  I did try to draw her face but it just wasn't coming out the way I wanted. I was also running out of time at work which didn't help my shaking hands.  Lol but in the end I'm happy with it.  And yes I know my handwriting suuuucks.

"Someone who once sent us to our deaths..."

{"Who was that dwarf, Jean?" Asher asked.
"Oh just someone who once sent us to our deaths...." Jean replied
"Us?" Asher asked
Jean turned his head towards the younger man
"Your mother and I."}

'What were the odds?' Asher thought to himself as his nimble fingers began picking the lock in front of him, this old dungeon jail cell was probably the simplest lock the young man has ever picked. It only took a few minutes for him to hear the 'click' the tell tale sign of all the gears lining up to unlock, with all the dust and rust coating the lock, Asher was almost beginning to wonder when the last time it was opened. As he took the lock off he felt to trickle of blood from his nose, with a sleeve he wiped it away his injuries from the battle he had just fled would have to wait including his broken nose. Entering the cell he glanced that the larger form on the other side of the small filthy prison, the Qurtai was chained and with shallow breathing seemed to be undisturbed.  The young assassin turned his attention back to his main target the smaller form of the dwarf Jean had spoken with earlier. The dwarf too was chained, dressed in rags and the smell was quite unbearable coming off of him,  'How something so small could be so smelly, Maker how long they have been down here?' the youth thought to himself. Asher bent down and grabbed with both hands fist full of what was once a shirt on the dwarf raising him up in to the air, his bare feet brushing the stone floor, with a few rough shakes he finally awoke with a groan of pain.
"Aurgh!" he groaned out, "W-what? W-who--"
"Do you know a woman named Kendra?" Asher growled out through clenched teeth, giving the dwarf a slightly less rough shake to keep him awake. His strong hand tighten as the dwarf's eyes widen at the name.
"K-ken? Kendra?" the starving dwarf managed to whisper out as he locked eyes with the young man before him who shared the same eyes as his long dead friend and a face that looked familiar but he couldn't remember.Clearly frustrated with the dwarf's lack of information Asher slammed him into the wall and a painful memory flashed through the dwarf's mind, one he thought long forgotten.

How this nobleman managed to not only find him but also get through all six of his bodyguards was unbelievable Haldrin thought to himself, as the nobleman continued to pummel him with his fists.  The crazed man busted down the door of his office shouting about a woman, demanding to know where she was.
"Where is she!  You were the last person to see her before she left! Where is Kendra! Where is my wife!" he shouted with such uncontrollable rage in his voice. The last punch had slicing open Haldrin's cheek on one of the rings on his hand.
"Ken? You wanna know about K-Kendra?" the dwarf choked out from under the weight of the man's hand on his throat, he flinched in pain as the man applied pressure to his now broken collar bone . "She left about a month ago, I-I haven't heard from her, t-they missed the drop point."
"Missed?!" the man's widened with fear, his grip tighten, "Where did you sent her?!" He slammed the dwarf into the desk as he began to struggle against the man's grip.
"Arugh! IT was a lyrium delivery! And I've got my employer breathing down my neck for not getting his delivery, pretty boy!" Haldrin spit out at the human and continued to struggle against the death grip he was being held in.
"Lyrium! Are you telling me you sent her to the deep-roads?!"
"She knew the risks, now get your hands off me you piece of shi--" the dwarf began only to a quick jib to the throat cut him off, sending him into a coughing fit trying to find his breath.
"You sent my wife to her death, your 'employer' is the least of your worries right now." the man growled at the helpless creature he had pinned to the desk, glaring down at him with hate-fulled eyes. There was no way of telling if Kendra was alive or die but none of party made it back to him and his contact they had spoken had gone missing. If she hadn't returned be now, she probably never was.
It seemed like hours had come and gone by the time the man was done torturing the dwarf and nothing could have prepared Haldrin for the pain from his own letter opener, he clung to consciousness longer enough to see the man talking slowly to himself with tears streaming down his face, the only words he heard were, "How am I going to tell Asher?" more tears streamed down his face, he let out a small sob and the world went dark.

A painful shake against the stone wall of the prison bought the dwarf back to the present and as he stared into the eyes of the young man before him, he could only wonder if this was 'Asher'. As he opened his dried and cracked lips to ask the youth pinned him against the wall with one arm and gripped his throat with the other. Coughing the dwarf and stealing what breathe he had left.
"When you see her again, tell her the others will be joining her soon."
With a small movement from Asher's wrist against the dwarf's neck a hidden blade slide seamless into the thick neck of the defeat-less dwarf. Blood bubbled from his lips as he tried to speak but no words were formed. Asher held him there into all life had drained from his eyes and only then did he release his hold and let the body drop to the ground with a thud. Turning away from the corpse he existed the jail cell and put away his hidden blade just as his companions come walking down the hallway. He went to join them when once again he felt the trickle of blood from his nose.

----
Right so this was something quick that popped up into my mind the other night when we played D&D this happened in our campaign just not at detailed and the dwarf, Haldrin didn't recognize Kendra's name at the time. BUT he is in fact the person who sent Kendra and her group (one of our past campaigns) on a mission that went soul fast. I'm pretty sure Haldrin had been locked in the dungeon for five to six years, so I'm shocked his still alive.

Just a little something.... don;t mind my awful writing skills.

Settle down with me

Right lets jump right into what happened over the weekend for me! We had my sister's bridal shower and to the left is some of the decorations that we made, when I say 'we' I mean myself It was Minnie themed with tons and tons of ladybugs everywhere. (My sister loves ladybugs) All and all the day was good there were certain things that got on my nerves but it doesn't matter, my sister was happy so I was happy. The wedding next month! >_< so nervous!

The next photo is the almost finished Sakura / Dwarf costume I've been working on for a few weeks now, I've been loving the fact that I havn't spent any money on this costume so far,  I do know that when it comes to the axe and bed roll I will need to break down and purchase some supplies. Oh well./

Two of my awesome friends just came back from Dragon*Con (they go every year, jealous) and they both have Grey Warden costumes. I've JUST finished the first game and we've played a D&D campaign in the DragonAge world so I've completely fallen in love with the world and everything that has to do with Dragon Age. The next step? Making my own Grey Warden .

I'm probably gonna do a rouge or scout, I'm not of mage gal myself and the warrior has a bit of armor work to it. So maybe, there is no time limit on this costume tho I would love to surpise my friends with it at Rhode Island Comic Con in November but I don't think its in the budget. Blah of well.

I also don't have good memerioes of working with scupley but this time it work really really well. I'm kinda happy with the symbol I may just redo it all together.
