I can not believe it is August already, where did the time go? Flying by. Okay so some updates people! So I thought Boston Comic Con was this weekend...like tomorrow.. but its not.. I gave myself a heart attack. I mean the costumes are just about done but I want to go over them with a fine tooth comb, especially Kenway. I'm more nervous about my boyfriend not liking it.... even though he has told me time and time again that he loves it. I'm gonna add the blow-dart to his costume (today's project)

I also thought it would be a good idea to re-make my James Kidd jacket, I'll be dressed as Mary for Saturday at BCC on the 9th. I am super happy that it only took me two days on the jacket, it is SO much better then the first one. PLUS I re-made the red vest and painted the gold stitching on. The original vest so complete not canon, I kinda just made it up and no one said anything.

Also excited for the chest tattoo... I really need to practice that and find away to seal it, so rubbing won't be an issue.

 Soo I've been pretty busy today, as you can see I've been working on Kenway for the most part. I've also been cleaning out my sewing room, mainly the closets and I am throwing away a ton of crap.

I promised my cousin last year that I'd made him Mando armor and I ran out of time for the RI Comic Con. Buuut this year I think I'll have enough time,, the only thing that might be an issue is the visor. I really don't have the money to purchase him a new one.

I may need to re-use one from another helmet.

But yeah Kenway is coming along and my boyfriend is very happy with it! I can not wait to be Mary to his Edward! ^____^

I can't stop myself from watching all the great things that are happening right now at SDCC, so many updates on shows and movies! Ah I can't wait for the new season of Vikings!! ^___^ It loooks so good, ARUGH!! .. okay well I've been re-blogging a ton of stuff on my tumblr.

I've got some updates of Kenway too!

I know its not prefect and its a bit rough buuuut it'll photograph well from afar. I really don't have that much practice under my belt when it comes to this craft foam.  I've just got to attend the skulls, add the blade part, and sew them onto to gauntlets.

I've been working on an Edward Kenway costume for my boyfriend since December... I know its been a long time but with work, family and a social life sewing for another person has kinda taken the back seat. BUT I want this costume to be ready for Boston Comic Con which is in August and is coming up suuuper fast. ( oh I also forgot to tell you in the last post - I totally forgot about Ctcon and didn't know until Wednesday that is was that weekend... so yeah) I have been working on Kenway and I do plan on wearing my Mary Read along side Mr. Edard Kenway! Which I am super excited about!

ConnectiCon 2014

 No, I'm not dead. Sorry that I haven't posted anything a long time....

My first ConnectiCon was back in 2007, seven years and I think I've missed all but two since than. I decided to go back this year but just for one day and I can not figure out if it was worth the money. $50 for a one day pass on Saturday is a TON of money for such a small con and they changed some things around also. My friends and I walked all over looking for the 'artist alley' all the times I went it was located on the top floor down one of the hallways... but this year is was in with the Dealer's Room. Which thinking back on there wasn't that many vendors and waaay to many sword dealers (I counted three booths). Also, no game room, now I personal don't come to Cons to play console games but we met us people at lunch that were pretty upset about it. We later found out that some people were having a private game room at one of the hotels somewhere? Again don't know how much of that is true, but I thought it was odd.

What I enjoyed about CtCon was talent I saw there. The cosplayers/costumers talent pool was awesome soo many wonderful costumes compared to the last Anime Boston. Oh and everyone we spoke to was just the nicest!

All and all will I go back? Maybe for a day if the price goes down. But probably not.
