Hey everyone, so this is my 200 post and I figured I don't have anything too exciting to show you guys but we did have our Mary read and Edward Kenway official photo shoot on Saturday and I haven't seen all the photos but I saw one teaser and let me tell you it looks amazing. I'm actually really excited to see the rest of them But I'll post the picture below and you guys can tell me what you think. We've also been working on something new something dragon age-related and it goes along with my gray warden so that's pretty exciting as welll.
Speaking of the Grey Warden we are planning on doing a test photo shoot in two different locations which was probably going to happen sometime this weekend hopefully. And we decided on a few more costumes for the future.
So I hope you guys stay tuned and keep checking the blog for more updates and photos I'll upload them as soon as I get them and comment and follow and do whatever. They'll also be on deviantART and probably on Instagram as well.
I don't think I've posted my Instagram on here at the user name is child of Mirkwood ban on deviantART my account is degan.
Hello and thank you for stopping by and checking out the blog! These are the recorded thoughts and adventures of an novice costumer/prop maker and pastry chef. Get ready to see some random stuff from everyday life to all the conventions I go to with friends! Enjoys

Hey everyone! My friends and I totally went to the midnight release of assassin's creed / Halo the other night in costume. While only three of us were dressed up buut it was still pretty fun, minus me having work the next morning at 4am.
yes that chief was hand made by our friend danny (who is wearing it) he does amazing work! We also went to one of our friend's baby shower over the weekend. Him and his girlfriend are the first ones to have a baby, its gonna be a little girl!! I was in charge of cupcakes. So many cupcakes and all hand painted! Everyone loved them!

Wall of Ice
Hey everyone! So again sorry about not updating that enough, my plan each year is to post more then the last and I think I''m on point with this year. That is if I make time to post! Its that time of year again were everything goes by wicked fast thanks to the holidays! But I think I have some updates from RI-Comic Con. I think I'll make a separate rant about that one (not really that bad of a rant).
So here are some photos of my Jedi - Siri Tachi. Totally got to hang out with some old friends from the NEG 501st, I got to see all our couple costuming friends which is awesome! Happens like once a year, maybe twice. lol
On Halloween we were acting like big dorks. I was dying Mary Read and JB was Kenway... had a TON of kids it was fun! Our friends came over and we played card games. lol
And this Mary Read not taking any of your SHIT! lol Having a nice smart phone with a good camera is suppper fun now. lol
The Kenways and animals....lol

Boston Comic Con or Line Con 2014
Okay so yesterday was Boston Comic Con, now I haven't been to this con in about two years, it just wasn't something that I'd spend the whole weekend up in Boston for. But this we thought it would be nice to go just for one day, Saturday. I know that Saturdays are always the busiest day and now looking back on it we probably should have known better to pre-reg.
So here is my story... well our story. My friends and I got Boston Comic Con at about 11am, we figured that was a good time to arrive and no none of us pre-reg'ed. The line we should just for people who pre-reg'ed was the whole length of the building and wrapped around the back end. So you can imagine our faces, "like what the fuck!?" we keep walking until we find a staff member outside right in front of the con and they tell us the line to buy tickets is on the left side of the building along the main street, okay its pretty long but it was moving fast. We were in line for about 30-45minutes and near the convention entrance when I man who wasn't wearing a "Boston Comic Con staff" shirt, he was wearing a uniform from the convention center itself (just to clear the little note up) told us that the line to buy tickets was down the left SIDE of the building.. Okay. Now we saw a line down at the very end of the this ally. (The line that we were seeing was the end of the Pre-reg line, but none of us knew that at the time) So like good, trusting people we listened to the man and when the line STOPPED moving all together people started getting mad. Another 45mintures to an hour goes by and THEN the staff was notified and people were sent to clear up the problem, but that didn't stop people from getting even more angry.
So after nearly three hours of wait, a senior member of the Staff comes out and tells us that there is a good chance none of us are going to get in. Pre-reg people come first because they already paid. (which I agree with but there should be a limit of people who can, so that you have tickets to sell at the door). Some people left, disappointed and can you blame them? I felt awful for all the children that were waiting with their parents.
We stayed, we baked in the sun, we made friends with the people around us, we took photos and had photos taken of us. Played music, anything to make the time go by. About a block away, a random stranger, a wonderful man who made my day tapped me on the shoulder and handed me his day pass wrist band. I thanked him so much! So I left my friends in line and went to scout out this con and see if all our waiting was wealth it in the end.
No, it wasn't. I didn't make it passed the dealers room and I didn't even see a third of it because of all the people. crowded, hot and way to noisy and Heaven help you if someone did want a photo of you, there was no where to take a picture. You just has to stand still and hope no one was photo bombing. I didn't last long about 35 minutes and I was done. After waiting all day and then waiting again inside. No thank you.
I went back to my friends told them, took the wrist off gave to one of them for him to decided what we were going to do. We ended up leaving the line, grabbing some lunch and beer (Which was needed!!) and had our photo shoot outside the con.
Lesson learned. Always pre-reg because they have to let you in.
Lets hope Rhode Island Comic Con is better!

Gas Petal
Soo I've been pretty busy today, as you can see I've been working on Kenway for the most part. I've also been cleaning out my sewing room, mainly the closets and I am throwing away a ton of crap.
I promised my cousin last year that I'd made him Mando armor and I ran out of time for the RI Comic Con. Buuut this year I think I'll have enough time,, the only thing that might be an issue is the visor. I really don't have the money to purchase him a new one.
I may need to re-use one from another helmet.
But yeah Kenway is coming along and my boyfriend is very happy with it! I can not wait to be Mary to his Edward! ^____^
I ship them so HARD!!

This isn't Love, its clear to see
I can't stop myself from watching all the great things that are happening right now at SDCC, so many updates on shows and movies! Ah I can't wait for the new season of Vikings!! ^___^ It loooks so good, ARUGH!! .. okay well I've been re-blogging a ton of stuff on my tumblr.
I've got some updates of Kenway too!
I know its not prefect and its a bit rough buuuut it'll photograph well from afar. I really don't have that much practice under my belt when it comes to this craft foam. I've just got to attend the skulls, add the blade part, and sew them onto to gauntlets.
Still a WIP.

Which I am super excited about!
more soon promise!
