Hey everyone! So again sorry about not updating that enough, my plan each year is to post more then the last and I think I''m on point with this year. That is if I make time to post! Its that time of year again were everything goes by wicked fast thanks to the holidays! But I think I have some updates from RI-Comic Con. I think I'll make a separate rant about that one (not really that bad of a rant).

So here are some photos of my Jedi - Siri Tachi. Totally got to hang out with some old friends from the NEG 501st, I got to see all our couple costuming friends which is awesome! Happens like once a year, maybe twice. lol

 On Halloween we were acting like big dorks. I was dying Mary Read and JB was Kenway... had a TON of kids it was fun! Our friends came over and we played card games. lol

And this Mary Read not taking any of your SHIT! lol Having a nice smart phone with a good camera is suppper fun now. lol

I can not believe it is August already, where did the time go? Flying by. Okay so some updates people! So I thought Boston Comic Con was this weekend...like tomorrow.. but its not.. I gave myself a heart attack. I mean the costumes are just about done but I want to go over them with a fine tooth comb, especially Kenway. I'm more nervous about my boyfriend not liking it.... even though he has told me time and time again that he loves it. I'm gonna add the blow-dart to his costume (today's project)

I also thought it would be a good idea to re-make my James Kidd jacket, I'll be dressed as Mary for Saturday at BCC on the 9th. I am super happy that it only took me two days on the jacket, it is SO much better then the first one. PLUS I re-made the red vest and painted the gold stitching on. The original vest so complete not canon, I kinda just made it up and no one said anything.

Also excited for the chest tattoo... I really need to practice that and find away to seal it, so rubbing won't be an issue.

I've been working on an Edward Kenway costume for my boyfriend since December... I know its been a long time but with work, family and a social life sewing for another person has kinda taken the back seat. BUT I want this costume to be ready for Boston Comic Con which is in August and is coming up suuuper fast. ( oh I also forgot to tell you in the last post - I totally forgot about Ctcon and didn't know until Wednesday that is was that weekend... so yeah) I have been working on Kenway and I do plan on wearing my Mary Read along side Mr. Edard Kenway! Which I am super excited about!

Givin' it my best shot

Happy late Easter! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with their families and loved ones. The bakery was crazy last week which kept me pretty busy and also exhausted when I got home everyday. I haven't been working on Kenway at the rate that I planned on, I am not happy with myself but real life comes first to costuming. My sister's wedding as also been on my mind all month long and I'm making a list of all the things I still have to do, nervous but also excited!! Planning the bridal shower and coming up with a cake design, I have an idea of what I want to do. Fingers crossed people!

I did get my new Mary Read/ James Kidd wig in the mail. I got it from Arda Wigs, love them! They really are the best cosplay wig company ever! I mean come on, the people that run it are cosplayers themselves! Our people!!

Right so this is the wig, no beads or man makeup on just normal female Mary Read. The headband needs to be tighter but that is an easy fix. I am in love with this wig, it is wicked nice.

And because I was bored and thinking of new costumes for the up and coming Ren-Faires. I did a thing.

Happy April everyone! Sorry I have not been posting on a normal rate, my bad I've been busy with work and my sister's wedding (all the planning) and what nots. But  I have been working on a new costume and its not for me (no I'm not doing commissions) working on an Edward Kenway for my boyfriend. During Anime Boston I saw a few Kenways but I didn't take any photos with them, I don't think any of them realized who I was at the time (you know passing someone in costume in the hallway or in the mall during a convention, sometimes it takes you a minute to remember how you know that outfit).

I am aiming to have Kenway done by the end of May, I really really want to have a photo shoot at the beach. That would be amazing!

Sorry I am just now seeing that the photos are wicked blurry, blah! >_< OH well I'll update once the vest is all done, BUT i am in love with the fabric, buttons and the way its coming out! I have never been this excited to make someone else a costume!

The top photo is from my Sakura Haruno costume that I worn at Anime Boston the other weekend. Those scrolls are my favorite part of the whole costume. I am so proud of the way they came out, I'm planning on selling them on ebay so that I can make more. Ohh the symbol meanings "Doctor" I could for the life of me find a healing scroll in the Manga to base them off of .
