Inquisitor

Hey everyone I have an update in awhile with actual words. Only pictures. But finish is almost done I'm just waiting on some leggings and some clear sandals and then I think we're going to do the nosepiece again and do a test fit sometime next week.

We didn't go to Boston Comic Con that was over the weekend way too hot and thought we'd save some money by not killing ourselves in the heat.

I started working with foam again I decided that I was going to try to make a helmet. The helmet from Dragon Age Inquisition the inquisitors helmet I got a free pattern off of the Evil Ted Smith Channel on YouTube. You should go check them out if you're going to start working with foam. He really knows his stuff and he's a good teacher watch all those videos over and over again

It was pretty hard again I don't have a lot of experience working with phone never mind making a dome shape so it was kind of a trial-and-error a lot of failure but I like the way that only come out in the end it's not perfect butt it works

I wasn't really planning on doing anything else with the helmet other than just make it just to see if I could but then I start looking online and I saw a lot of people doing Inquisitor armor and I found one that I really like from the guy had really good pictures of how we made it so I'm going to go ahead and make an Inquisitor costume. So get ready for that

The last day of relaxation

Hey everyone. I've been on vacation this whole week and I haven't got a whole lot done with costuming. I have been working on Fenris and I need to make a cape 4 Thor but that isn't due till the 12th of August

We went to a wedding over the past weekend my mother-in-law got married and hopefully I have some pictures soon just short on my dress but I only have a silly photo that I took in the mirror sums up my personality pretty well.

True Faith

Hey everyone! If your like me, you sometimes spend way to much time dedicated to your pinterest boards. (yay you know you do) But in my defense I always end up finding some really cool costuming tip or trick. This time it was how to make your craft foam look like leather. 

Tin foil and an iron

That is it and as a bonus using the iron is heat sealing the foam so you can go right to the mod podge. 

Awesome! Right? Super easy. Thicker the foam the better.  

Did I tell you how awesome this is?

First time making a harness please don't mind the pins, inspiration by the  Witcher 3, damn those costumes are gorgeous.  I'm not done with it yet, though it does fits great not to sure on what shirt I'll be wearing with it. I also plan on putting some details on to it, fake pockets and what-nots.

I can not tell you enough times on how life changing this technique is for craft foam. Such an amazing thing to learn.
