Heroes for Heroes

On Saturday some friends and I made the trip to Westford, MA to march in the Apple Blossom Day Parade for an amazing cause! Friends never forget! and Heroes for heroes!

Friends Never Forget

We had an awesome time! Made some new friends and helped out three wonderful charities! It was a gorgeous day for a parade and a caravel, fun fun. Hope to do it next year too!

Also I've been seeing a ton of "Cosplay or Costuming".

Your an adult dressing up as characters (fictional or not) just shut up and have fun. This hobby is supposed to be FUN, stop arguing about non-sense and make a jaw dropping outfit.

Rollin'

So i'm almost done with captain marvel for Saturday, super excited this was the first time I made a bodysuit and I was wicked nervous about working with the stretch material. It isn't spandex, its a jersey knit I picked out because I enjoyed how heavy and thick the fabric was. I was going to need to double up the fabric.

Its not the best but I'm proud that it is done. The gloves gave me a hell of a time, due to the fact that I didn't take in the account of the thickens of fabric when cutting and sewing took me a few tries but I finally got them to were I want them (for now) with help from my boyfriend (who was the hand template).

Excited for Saturday! Get ready for some pictures!

Hard to Handle

I have two weeks to finish Captain Marvel - Carol Danvers for a charity thing my friend invited me too, its for kids and people are volunteering to dress up as super heroes and walk around. I do have a Ms. Marvel costume but I don't want  to wear a leotard around small children that would leg level with me.... PLUS I really want to cut my hair before that so Captain Marvel is going to be perfect.

i'm pretty excited with how its coming out, I am nervous about the legs and crotch area.. not sure how that is going to go but we'll cross that bridge when we get there....
