We have about... abit more than a month till Anime Boston 2012. How many costumes can I make/finish in that time? hmmm, Well we're gonna find out.

The catch! I can't spend CRAZY amount of money on any of the costumes.

Now I do have a check list of all my dream cosplays that one day I will do... and no I'm not going in order. hahaha. So Far we've done.

minus the hide blade sorry thats on comission from a friend. Again a wicked easy costume to wear! So much fun wearing that hood it makes everyday life soooo much more exciting!

Okay this is an AWFUL photo but you can see the jacket, white shirt and black pants. I did order I wig for this costume, only becuase I really don't want to cut my hair I'm trying to grow it out again.

Again an awful photo of me!! Buuut you get the idea the only thing I'm missing is the ? on my head.  I was thinking of wearing my Harley Quinn mask.. tho that isn't very South Park.

South Park is one my all time favorite shows! We got most of this costume at GoodWill too. I made the gloves (dye them too) hood and cape.

So ya.... thats five costumes and no mandos! The plan at Anime Boston is to get a ton of great photos of ALL these costumes so I can finally have nice, detailed photos of my work.

 Alright its REALLY kinda fun to draw in my face. mahahaha!

I was lurkin' on Craftster.com and I found this easy tutu for this Pinafore and I had some red left over from Howl's jacket lining (with was a cheap table cloth from good will) so I made this.

Not bad?

I've never made my own clothes before, its like wearing a costume all the time.

One week

Well its been about a week and all that snow we got is gone. Which I don't know if its a good thing or a bad. haha. So updates, I finally got my new glasses yesterday I can see the world and how....well at the moment brown and dead everything is. Now mind you this are the first glasses I've gotten since 2007, yeah people its been awhile. Never again is all my sayin' my eyes are so bad I need to go to the Optometrist every year! Blah!

I've also been working a ton of hours at the market which is good... or so I keep telling myself! BUT is it keeping me out of trouble (not that I get into much these days, gettin' kinda old here!) having to be up in the morning everyday is good. I cant stay out to late (which I never do anymore) and getting more the five hours of sleep at night is AWESOME!

So in the afternoons which I normally have to myself is when I work on all my costumes, house work, run errands you those kinda things. I've started drawing again! I havn't posted any of my later work on here and I probably never will just becuase its pretty awful... OKAY not all of it is awful! There was a time when I THOUGH T i wanted to go college for ART. HAHA.

But I do enjoy going through all my old drawing pads and whatnot! So here are some photos of my little doodles.

Yes I am on an assassin's creed kick at the moment! I love my Altiar and Ezio! Oh my beating heart! haha so yeah I'll keep posting what not up here as the time goes by!

Pretty sweeet if you ask me! Can't wait to get my costume done! Still working on the switch blade and the short sword. Its coming along.

^ The belt and the short cape. The image is a tattoo I found on google, pretty awesome!! There will be a jewel where the red dot is on the finally belt.

Not bad once I got the sleeves on, tho i'm kinda torn between going more towards Altair's era or Ezio's? Notice I changed out the fur trim on the hood collar, I feel like I've got a good mix of the both of them.

We finally got snow here in Southern New England, the first snow of the year not much but just enought to slip and slide on the roads this morning on the way to work. Well 4am is abit early for the roads to be dry or slush free.

Also when is costume is finished, I will be wearing it at ANIME BOSTON 2012!

Nothing Is True.

So ive been working on some new updates over the past week, we even started having a sewing circle. Normally its maybe twice a month but we have been meeting up often this week, two times in one week? Thats crazy talk! Tho it has been a wonderful for my progress on the Rapzunel skirt all the hand embroidery at the bottom is all done! Oh it took FOREVER oooh it was awful. BUT it looks so good but its no where near done.

No photos of the skirt YET.

Okay! so those are some of the feather hair pieces that I've started to make! AWESOME! I love 'em. Plus you can get a picture of what costume I've been working on!

I've wanted to do an Assassin's Creed costume for a VERY long time now! No it is not done and I do plan on finishing it by next week or so. Super excited about this!  It looks very weird without sleeves lol you can see how tiny I am.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Wow, really need to remember to post on this blog. Well not that there is much to say its been a crazy past month but only because of the the holiday season. I was a very good America this year and over spent... again. But not next year I think I' just going to make baked goods for everyone I know, including family! I'm sure they will all love that!

Work went well, I guess we lost about 200 customers BUUT our numbers were up about 250! So I guess everyone had a great christmas dinner! Finally went to my company christmas party, it was great to see everyone outside of work. My family party was fine too, I was the only woman (well my mum was there) there, I forgot that my sister and I are the only female cousins. Crazy right? Way to many men in that house! No snow on Christmas tho, funny the only snow Rhode Island got was on Halloween. Odd.

Anyway! Our trip to Disney in early December was AWESOME!

I has was much fun! PLus I got those photos of Rapzunel's dress like I wanted, I've been working on the skirt since I got back. Tho I can't say that I've got a ton done on it. With all the business of the season going on. Speaking of business I need to find a second job. Yep its come down to this, I'm even thinking about applying to fast food joints too. Not that I want to work there buuut mama needs her money after Disney and than Christmas.

End of November

Oh dear it seems that the month has come and gone without me posting any kind of an update. Silly. It has been..well I can't even say busy becuase I wasn't, until Thanksgiving came around. For the past three weeks I've been working all mornings, so I could have posted in the afternoon. BUT my desk top has been infected with a number of viruses and whatnot.

I know nothing about computers. Took a course on them in high school....it was was joke, to make a long story short I was the only girl, well the only girl who brushed her hair. Automatic A+. I learned nothing, made some good friends.

I have not been working on costumes this month. No money. I am going on vacation tomorrow for a week. The family and I are heading to Disney tomorrow tonight. Driving down, awesome. I've driven down to the wonderful state of Florida before a 24 hour trip to Orlando for Celebration V last year. We were in a van with nine people (plus costumes) in August. Flippin' HOT  insane to say the least and I stated than that we would never do that again.

Funny how I HAD to say that. Here we go again, tho I've never been to disney before all my co-workers are saying that I'm going to love it. To see all the christmas lights up for the holidays. I will be excited when I'm sitting at the nearest bar with a cocktail in my hand. (I would have put - in the hotel sitting in the hot tub with a cocktail in hand but I don't think drinks are allowed in the pool area).

Welcome November

Today is the start of a new month, November can not wait for Thanksgiving and some more snow. The holiday season is coming and this is the time of year that I love working in a market, all the people and all the cheer. Okay maybe not the cheer BUT it does mean that we will be making a ton a money and more hours for the workers. Can not wait for those big pay checks to come in.

Halloween was fun this year, much better then last year. I didn't hand out candy this year though, I did purchase candy. Kept it for myself and J. Whatever we don't have that many children in the area anyway. I did however go to work dressed as Harley Quinn, we were having a costume contest and the grand prize is $10 bucks. Awesome right?

I'm loving' this cold weather wearing my peacoat out and about, love it. Tho on Halloween it did snow which was wicked odd and kinda ruined halloween for some people. But thats okay we still had our little party at a friend's house and I went to my friend's work at a local mall to hand out candy to the little kids... I shouldn't use the term 'little' becuase must of the kids were not little they were teenagers... god awful teenager mall rats. YIKES!

At the small halloween party I worn Enchantress Amora which turned out really well. Don't ask why the BoonDock Saints are shooting me in the head or why I'm shooting them in the head. It was a fun night and I'm glad I bought my camera with me that night.

Kinda wished that I took a full body shot of Amora but I'm sure there will be time later and maybe not outside at 2AM in the morning with no jacket on. It was SO COLD!!

It was a pretty good Halloween and I hope that I won the contest at work.! Fingers Crossed!
