Apologies

Everything is still covered in snow about a foot of snow is left still on the ground and we are getting two to four more inches tonight. I am not pleased. If it snows more than the people from the weather channel think and the roads get bad, I really really don't want to call out on another Sunday. Being only part-time means that Sunday hours time and a half and without that extra money in my check there really is no reason. Isn't that sad? I work six days a week and Sunday is the day that makes my bank account happy. (sigh) No need to dwell on that though! Look what I made at work today!

I already added it to the cake section and boy was this fun to make! I can not explain just how happy it makes me that this couple keeps coming back to our Bakery for their twin's birthday! This is the second cake I've done for them and it feel amazing!! I can't thank them enough!

We had our D&D campaign last night and it was epic!  We fought this zombie Black Draco-lich and I'm playing the cleric! OH it was crazy I'd run up and heal the blasted thing and our tank would pick me up and throw me to safety I still can't believe that it worked.  We were so close to death I was getting really nervous that it might have been the end. But thankfully we all held on and killed (so to speak) the damned thing, oh and we were flying on an airship at the time. I've also got all these new ideas for drawings, I feel like I've been drawing out the story instead of writing it down... maybe I should start writing!   I've got some pictures already done and I need to upload them to the ART section of the blog. Taking photos of the different stages is pretty awesome, I can watch the magic happen or I can stop and only show part of it. I've found that not everything drawing is going to be awesome... that sometimes I'm just not into it.

Our snow forts!! >:D

New England is at the beginning of a huge snow storm today, it started snowing around 9am in Rhode Island and has only continued to snow harder. Now if you've read another post in this blog than you know that I work at a bakery. Today work was rockin' and rollin' we made a crazy amount of bread and EVERYTHING! I did have yesterday off and I told that Thursday was a hell hole, so much worse then today. People were going crazy there was even a fight across the street at the local gas station and the cops were called. I love it was the bakery is busy but it also sucks because the shoppers are in a rush and want to get home ASAP they almost completely forget their manners. Simple, basic manners is all I ask for. Is that so hard? Do you really think that I want to be at work watching the snow pile up? Of course not. But I can't change that, I will work as hard and as fast as possible to get your order to you... just say 'thank you.' or  'be safe on your way home.'

On a lighter note I was playing with the dog outside when I got home from work today, I even built a snowman I can't remember the last time that I did that. Its been years. I'm going to post the video that the boyfriend took as soon as I get it on the computer. Its not the proudest moment in my life but it sure is funny to watch.

In a hoop that never ends...

I can know state for a fact that just over the past week and a half I've improved my drawing skills. I would even be bold enough to say that I'm back to my high school days with drawing, which is amazing. I have the best friends who are just amazing at supporting me on my quest! I've already gone through one watercolor pad and I've started the fresh tonight, some smaller postcard sized pieces too. I have something planned for those! All and all I'm having a blast with coming up with the these new characters, though I haven't continued writing but I do have the basic plot line out and brainstorming has been happening... every night when I know that I should be sleeping or at work when I know that I should be focusing on a cake... my mind seems to wonder into another world. Can you blame me? OH, I could just kick myself today was the perfect day for a photo-shoot and I didn't call my friend, it was warm and foggy ooh so amazing driving near the water! I really really want to do a drow photo shoot but I need to put together a new outfit, also I need to find more Ren-Faires this year to attend. ... Need to put together my drow army.... more on that later!

Defying Gravity

I wanted to make a FULL baby quilt, and well that didn't happen again. I ran out of time and need to finish it by today, I figure it can be used a a play blanket or even for the crib. yeah the design is weird by I'm cool with it. Every time I decide to make a baby quilt for a family member I think its going to fun, easy, and cheap. It is never those things... well it is fun at some points but it is not cheap by any means. This is only the twice quilt I've ever finished and I do want to take some classes just need to put some time aside for that during the week. Plus the boyfriend Grandma is an AMAZING quilter! She's made three for us so far and they are beautiful just simply beautiful and her sewing room, jealous!! 
            Went and got my taxes done yesterday and oh boy am I excited! I'm not making any plans with the money just encase anything happens. I do need to go to the IRS building in Providence, they owe me some  money from last years tax season. I have always enjoyed going to get my taxes done at H&R block the people there are so nice! Excited to get that money in to the bank account!
        Nothing new to update with the costuming buuut I did update the cake section of the blog! Ton of cakes this weekend! YA FOR CAKE!!

What is this feeling?

             Today I'm working the night shift at the bakery and now that I'm thinking about it, I want to kick myself... I could have planned my whole day out but instead I got up a bit later then I normally would made coffee and eat fresh donuts (fat kid right here). Now I'm sitting at my computer desk drawing and planning the next stages of my story.  Yes, I am going to be writing short story of my D&D character, Ritan Alean'Val. Her name was stolen from a OC from years years ago, but oh well.I do want to post some parts of the story on the blog tho I am not sure if I want to add anything section to it or not. We will see as time goes by.
            I've also been doing very good on the whole, draw something everyday pledge! I posted some pictures up in the ART section. The photos are bad tho, because its watercolor paper the edges curled when I was letting them dry. Lame. What I need is a nice (and cheap) scanner maybe for my birthday (June).
            Oh I added some new cakes also. But alas no new costumes, not yet. I've been working on a baby quilt for my cousin's girlfriend, her baby shower is this Sunday (I'm also making the cake!). Anime Boston hotel room is booked and I am per-registered already ($55)  I am excited and can not wait for May to get here though I am not sure what costumes to bring with me. Sinclair is coming, making it a MMCC official troop of the year but I don't know what else. Should I bring the drow? Legolas? Good god I still need to finish Astrisd Hofferson (How to Train your Dragon) I've been making an axe for that one. She will be the next photo shoot, after this 11 degree weather goes away.

Of course I have nothing to post pictured about but I do miss the warm weather and I love my drow.

First posted of a new year

         Big surprise the world didn't end, wow! I think the saddest part about all that is I know people in everyday life that thought it was true. They honest thought the world land would crack and lava would shot out, I think they've been playing to many Assassin Creed games (which AC3 was awesome, but I'll get to that later).  No I don't have any crazed ideas about losing weight or eating healthier. I do plan on eating, drinking and seeing my friends more, does that count? Also drawing more, I am challenge myself to draw something everyday and finish it by the end of this year I'll probably hate myself for all the drawing laying about the apartment but oh well.
          The Legolas photo shoot is happening this week, Thursday I do believe and boy am I excited! I still need to glue the arrows and what not but that will not take that long. I'm not sure what costume I will be working on next, I need to check to the list and still need to take photos of five other costumes.
         We are still shopping around for a house, unfortunately the one that I fell in love with probably isn't going to be ours.  The bank is being weird and no very talkative but we'll see. Oh I did find out that I have a great credit score, go figure right? I had no idea until I checked out this free website called "Credit Karma" quick and simple plus they keep you updated if anything happens to it.
          Our D&D campaign is going wonderfully, we haven't played in about three weeks because of the holidays. I really do enjoy playing but I need to work on my role-playing skills and keeping in character.
           Must remember to book Anime Boston Hotel room!

Starting the year off right when it comes to making cakes! Oh yeah the bakery is in full swing ready for V-day!! Super excited!
